We’re often asked where guests can rent stand up paddleboards in Sunriver and in this blog, we’re happy to share some insight.
Rent Stand Up Paddleboards in Sunriver
There are a few different shops offering stand up paddleboard rentals in Sunriver. There are two main differences when looking at Central Oregon paddleboard rentals. Typically, you can rent either a fiberglass paddleboard or an inflatable paddleboard. Inflatable paddleboards are great for guests that don’t have the towing capacity for a full size fiberglass paddleboard.
Good 2 Go — Located in The Village at Sunriver, Good 2 Go offers a variety of water sport toy rentals, including stand up paddleboards. $70 full day rental
Sunriver Toy House — Paddleboard rentals at Sunriver Toy House start at $60/day for inflatable SUPs. Sunriver Toy House also has large, multi-person paddleboards that act as small boats – like the “Sunrdeck” and “Mega SUP”.
Sunriver Resort Marina — The Marina at Sunriver Resort has typically been reserved for guests of the Resort only, but this year they will be offering stand up paddleboard rentals to the public. Check back on The Marina’s website for more information about cost as it gets closer to summer.
Sun Country Tours — Sun Country Tours offers a fleet of high-quality fiberglass paddleboards made by Bend-based company, Stand On Liquid, offered in 9’6″ and 10’6″ lengths. Pick up is located at Sun Country’s Bend headquarters. $35/3 hours, $75 for 24 hours.
Where to SUP in Sunriver
There’s no shortage of amazing places to take out your paddleboard rental in and around Sunriver. Here are a few of our favorite river access spots in Sunriver:

- Harper Bridge (South side of river)
- Besson Day Use Area
- Sunriver Marina (Access fees required)
- Sunriver Canoe Takeout
- Benham Falls East Trailhead
The Sunriver Canoe Takeout and Benham Falls East Trailhead area are the LAST takeout points; beyond these points is Benham Falls. You must exit the river prior to the falls. Remember, please don’t take-out or launch on private property without permission of the landowner.
Paddleboarding at Central Oregon Lakes
Our location in Sunriver places you near a variety of beautiful mountain lakes in the Cascades region. Lakes are the perfect place to take out a paddleboard rental, especially for beginners because you don’t have to deal with the current of a river. The still water in the Cascade Lakes makes for the perfect environment to learn how to paddleboard. Here, you’ll be surrounded by stunning mountain vistas. Paddling around Elk Lake, for example, means you’ll have Mt. Bachelor in the background of all of your photos!
