mt bachelor opening day 2021

UPDATE: Mt Bachelor has pushed by opening day again due to lack on snowfall. Stay tuned!

Just like you, we were bummed out when Mt. Bachelor announced they would be postponing Opening Day to December 3. The mountain was projected to open for the Winter 2021/2022 season on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, we still need to keep praying for snow, as the postponement comes due to warm temperatures and a lack of snowfall. Once it does open though, we’ll be waiting with our boards and skis waxed and ready to go!

Mt. Bachelor Opening Weekend Schedule

There will be plenty of fun to be had at Mt. Bachelor during opening weekend — from first chair freebies and swag giveaways at different locations across the resort, to an Instagram user-generated stoke contest featuring a GoPro as the grand prize.

To enter the Instagram contest, post your favorite picture, clip, reel or video from Opening Weekend (Friday & Saturday only) and tag @mtbachelor and include the hashtag #outplayallday. The most “stoke-worthy” content each day wins a Go Pro! Winners will be selected and notified via Instagram each day at 5pm.

On both Friday and Saturday, expect to shred to the sounds of a live DJ on the West Village Lodge deck. Friday, the Mt. Bachelor team will be giving away Nordic Bars as you head to the to lifts on Opening Day (while supplies lasts) in the West Village Plaza and outside the Nordic Center.
