School is getting out for summer and it’s time to start planning what adventures you plan on conquering on your Sunriver vacation! Mountain biking at the Mt. Bachelor Bike Park is a rush of adrenaline for all ability levels — from novice to expert dirt jumpers. In addition to downhill mountain biking at Mt. Bachelor, the mountain offers an array of adventures including a zip line tour, hiking, disc golf and scenic chairlift rides.

Downhill Mountain Biking at Mt. Bachelor

The Mt. Bachelor Bike Park offers visitors lift-served terrain with downhill mountain bike trails that are accessible for riders of all levels. Check out the walk-up skills park or ride the Little Pine or Pine Marten lifts up where you’ll find 13 miles of trilling gravity trails. Mt. Bachelor’s newest advanced jump line is Redline, which provides a boost of adrenaline for advanced downhill mountain bike riders.

The Little Pine Chair Lift opened at the Mt. Bachelor Bike Park on June 12, 2021 and the Pine Marten Lift is tentatively scheduled to open on June 26. Riders who purchase the Little Pine ticket have access to the lower mountain only via the Little Pine lift. Lower trails at Mt. Bachelor are less technical than the upper mountain. Shorter lap times make for quick progression and plenty of opportunities for breaks for newer riders.

Starting June 26, riders will be able to purchase the All Mountain Ticket, which includes access to both Pine Marten and Little Pine lifts. This ticket is great for more advanced riders, as it offers access to all trails and skills areas at the Mt. Bachelor Bike Park. All Mountain Tickets offer the possibility of a Full Day or Twilight lift pass — with twilight hours running from 3 to 7pm.

Mt. Bachelor also offers bike rentals! Try out a Santa Cruz full suspension bike and they’ll throw in the recommended pads and full-face helmet to keep your protected and confident.

Zip Lines and Disc Golf

Book a zip line tour at Mt. Bachelor this summer and cruise across beautiful mountain terrain at 7,800 feet! Zip lining allows you to experience Mt. Bachelor unlike ever before! This is a dual-line, three-stage zip line tour that launches from above the tree line at the top of the Pine Marten lift and drops nearly 1,400 vertical feet. ZipTour is the steepest, fastest and highest elevation zipline tour in the Northwest, a thrill not to be missed!

Another popular summer activity at Mt. Bachelor is their Disc Golf course! The Mt. Bachelor Disc Golf Course is a PDGA listed course. Ride the Pine Marten Chair Lift up to the first hole and work your way down to the 18th and final hole. Playing disc golf at Mt. Bachelor adds elevation and varied terrain into your game, making for a memorable and challenging experience. Lift tickets are required for those who want to ride the chair lift up to the first hole, but a ticket pass isn’t required for those hiking from the base area to the start zone.
