The opening date for Mt. Bachelor may have been put on pause again, but not to worry, there are plenty of great events showcasing local artists and makers to attend this holiday season! Yeah, we know that’s no substitute for fresh powder, but you’ve gotta take your wins when you can since the snow gods aren’t smiling upon us at the moment. Fortunately, shopping from local artists and makers in-person means you won’t have to stalk your mailbox every day hoping your Christmas gifts get delivered on time.

Sunriver Women’s Club Virtual Winter Craft Fair
Now through December 31, 2021

Shop from the comfort and safety of your home (or vacation home!) and support local artists via the Sunriver Women’s Club. Go online, browse a unique selection of gifts from amazing artists ranging from elegant to whimsical. You’ll find the perfect gift for everyone on your list!

La Pine Arts & Crafts Fair!
Friday and Saturday, December 10 and 11, 10am – 4pm
La Pine Senior Activity Center

Head south to La Pine and visit the Arts & Crafts Fair at the La Pine Senior Activity Center. This market includes unique vendors including food, beverages, textiles, metal arts and more. Support the Central Oregon community by shopping local this season.

11th Annual Craft-O!
Saturday and Sunday, December 11 and 12, 9am – 5pm
Old Ironworks, Bend

This is one of the largest holiday markets in Central Oregon! Visit Craft-O for more than 75 vendors. Shop locally made gifts, eat, drink and listen to music in a fun holiday environment. Tickets must be purchased in advance to attend – $5 – proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to a local charity.

Locavore Holiday Gift Faire
Saturday, December 11, 2021, 10am – 4pm
Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

This annual holiday gift faire brings together artists, farmers and makers to supply you with unique gifts. Browse art, local honey and vinegar, jewelry and more. Central Oregon Locavore brings together some of the area’s favorite creators to bring you an excellent gift faire.

Bunk + Brew, Bend

This is a holiday market you won’t want to miss! Join Bunk + Brew as they bring together local holiday vendors and pair them with live music, new food trucks, hot spiced wine and more. Shop from these local vendors and give local this holiday season.

Somewhere That’s Green, Bend

Bend’s favorite indoor plant shop is hosting several maker’s markets this holiday season and we’re all about it. Not only can you buy beautiful plants in the shop, but there will be 10 rotating makers at each market, meaning you won’t see the same thing each week. There will be a trolley cart of candy goods roaming around the market while you shop, so don’t forget to stock up on sweets! No reservations needed, but you are required to be masked correctly.

Midtown Yacht Club Holiday Market

Midtown Yacht Club, Bend

Need to pick up some last minute gifts? Not to worry, Midtown Yacht Club has you covered with a holiday maker’s market on December 18! The market includes various local vendors slingings everything from tie dye to block-printed posters and stickers. And the best part of a market at a food cart lot – the food and beer. Grab dinner from one of the carts or happy hour while you’re shopping for locally made goods!

Holiday Maker’s Market at On Tap

On Tap, Bend

Head over to Bend’s east side to shop at On Tap’s local holiday maker’s market. On Tap is a food cart lot with a huge selection of beers and beverages on tap. Come out and support local makers and small businesses in the last-minute market. You’ll find everything from clothing and jewelry to plants, leather goods and everything in between.

Shop Local This Holiday Season

Shopping locally is so important throughout the year, but especially so during the winter holidays. By attending one of these artisan markets in Central Oregon, your purchase helps a real live person pay their bills. Money spent at local businesses like ours and these local makers stays in the Central Oregon economy, which is a win-win for all of us. Come out this holiday season and support local artists, makers, farmers and businesses. In the meantime, we’ll be praying for snow so we can all get up on the mountain soon!
