Many people are drawn to Christmas events in Sunriver because of our resemblance, some might say, to a snow globe. Sunriver’s wooded, forested landscape and the likelihood (we can’t promise) snow on Christmas morning help create the “traditional” Christmas experience. Central Oregon loves celebrating Christmas through parades, concerts, and a variety of events designed to increase your spirits during the holiday season. Valerie Holgers’ Académie de Ballet Classique proudly presents “The Nutcracker: A Child’s Tale”. The classic holiday ballet takes place on Christmas Eve when Clara befriends a nutcracker. The nutcracker magically comes to life to battle an evil mouse king and whisk Clara away to a land filled with dolls, sugar plums, bon bons, and snow fairies.

The Bend Christmas Parade is organized by a volunteer committee in an effort to capture the spirit of Christmas.
