Bend summer concerts 2023

Each summer, one of our favorite pastimes is catching concerts at Bend’s Hayden Homes Amphitheater, the Athletic Club of Bend and a variety of other outdoor venues throughout Central Oregon. Bend summer concert season nears and if you’re planning on catching a night of great music on the banks of the Deschutes River this summer, you’ll want to snag your tickets soon, before more of your favorites sell out!

Bend Summer Concerts Kick Off Memorial Day Weekend

Summer concert season kicks off in Bend over Memorial Day Weekend 2023 with the Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s Backroads Blues Festival, followed by the legendary James Taylor and his all star band. Memorial Day at the Amphitheater starts a jam-packed summer of music at Hayden Homes Amphitheater, located in Bend’s Old Mill District along the Deschutes River.

  • June brings some of our favorites spanning a world of genres. From Ringo Starrr and his band, to Lord Huron and Death Cab For Cutie to country star Chris Stapleton.
  • July brings the reggae vibes with performances from Slightly Stoopid and Sublime + Rome, as well as Pepper and Stick Figure. The String Cheese Incident, boygenius, and Tears for Fears round out the month.
  • Come to Central Oregon in August and you’ll have the chance to see The Smashing Pumpkins, Bon Iver, two nights of Dierks Bently or Sylvan Esso.
  • Finally, September closes out concert season with two nights of The Lumineers, Counting Crows and more.

Farewell Festival at Deschutes County Fairgrounds

This summer, a new trend appears to be emerging at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond. In the past, concerts at the Fairgrounds were limited to Fair week and the performers were far from headlining today. Farewell Festival, taking place July 21-23, is the first of two new live music and arts festivals to come to the Fairgrounds in 2023.

This three-day music festival includes headliners Turnpike Troubadours on Friday, Zach Bryan on Saturday and the man himself – Willie Nelson and The Family on Sunday. The festival also includes performances from some of your favorite bands like, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr, Trampled by Turtles, Band of Horses, Luscious, Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats, Yola, Mt. Joy and many others.

Come Back This Fall for Cascade Equinox Festival

Another new music festival to land in Central Oregon is the upcoming Cascade Equinox Festival, taking place September 22-24, 2023, at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond. The festival aims to create a community-based experience and adventure, all with some of the biggest names in music performing. The events will include music, art, workshops,marketplace, carnival rides, yoga, a healing sanctuary and more. Headliners of the inaugural event include Pretty Lights, Phantogram, Big Wild, Trevor Hall & The Great In-Between, Of Trees, Emancipator, Fruition, Dirtwire, as well as dozens of other regional and local bands. Choose from full-weekend or single day tickets for an event that promises to be out of this world.
